I started to make jpg’s of all the posts on the old site but thought what the hell! The other forum is still there albeit locked, so we can always refer to it plus we have the new database version of it now. So keep adding those names and IP’s here as we come across them.

A new system for the ban list is in the todo list. I think i'm going to set that project as high priority

I filled the data base with Krisis's data (see 2nd post of this thread). I setted 'Krisis' as the creator/modifier of entries that were not already in the db (previous entries came from the old site). A total of 358 items right now. Something like 55 entries added/updated by hand and not a single bug (at least for now lol).
What we need (and we'll have!) is a system that daily parses mp_cheater.log and automatically fills/updates the db.
The new ban list interface may not be easily accessible for now because of the wrong (old) item in the menu. The system is pretty cool. Anyone that has an access to the member area can add/update/delete entries. Complete db backup will be made on a regular basis. Currently there is no report/print system but i'll work on it.

I didn't ban him .. I rejoined the fray to teach him a lesson, and while it started off quite well (pushing this "elite" player down to 2nd place fairly quickly) .. lady lag took over and all my plans went out the window. Next time a player annoys you I will ban him immediately and cancel his pocket money for a month.

No Obl1, same area but different ISP, if you go on the database, you can click on any I.P. and it will be looked up for you, giving you their ISP and their location. We're in the 21st Century now, don't yer know! LOL.

No Bobby, that is a simple blocking process, loads up the file once when the server is set and should only scan when someone joins. Unlike SEC, which should scan for constants.
Theoretically removing SEC would improve the lag problem marginally but when you see what actually comes out of the woodwork you would put it back in place in under three hours (Which we did).
