We’ve Passed the Carbon Tipping Point For Good
"I get that a lot of folks want to escape into whatever works for them in order to avoid this. I also know several people personally who say that since we are doomed anyway, they arent going to lift a finger to help the next generation even have a life on the planet...these are people I know who have children. Thats right. They simply dont care if their children have a world to grow up in. I knew one person who on Earth Day would do what the Far Right suggested: turn on all your lights and appliances out of defiance against the tree huggers.
We are only doomed when people dont do anything to stop what is happening. There are things we cannot change that Climate Change has wrought, but we CAN slow it down and even halt it if we globally get on board and do all we can to help keep all species alive on the planet.
No explanation required here. While difficult to estimate, extinction rates have accelerated to 1,000 times their rate before the existence of modern Homo sapiens. 10,000 species now become extinct every year. Due to climate change, one fourth of Earth’s species will in all probability vanish by 2050."

Evil prevails where good men do nothing.
