Software and Operating Systems / Hide shit in facebook
« on: April 09, 2018, 07:12:43 PM »
Didn't know there was an "ad blocker" for facebook, but found someone posting this so I tried it out.
Man, does this have a LOT of options!

This is nuts! I'm trying to fix my windows update because it fails the last 5 rollups, but in the process fixes a totally different issue?!

And it's another shitty one, so i guess a win anyway.
In the past, i had all my content like that. Medium folder with album art/cover in the folder icon.
It really sucked not having this anymore. Anything i looked up about it never worked.

Now it does.
Because.. i had to download the windows update troubleshooter... which... now finished for the fourth time, and still hasn't resolved the issue...  -.- i don't want to reinstall maaaaannnnn!

Anyway, if YOU have the same problem, and have tried everything and no luck, try this! FOR ONLY 9.99!!!

Imagine this is music. You can't tell what the cover art is.

After the windows update trouble shitting it fixed it! Finally, i can set nice art for music, games etc. Again!
I lost count on how many years it has been for me to be able to do this again without a reinstall :P

This is how it SHOULD look like

Here is a way to setup the crouch+jump binding in the cfg file.

Now you can jump out of windows like you normally would.
And anything like fences and crates.

Software and Operating Systems / Hassle free syncing
« on: January 17, 2017, 10:05:41 PM »
So i was told Time machine was a great tool for backups and or live ones. But this was only available for mac, so i had to look around.

After a lot of that, i found this.

It's from MS so it's no bullshit at least. :P
It looks very simple, but direct and effective.

The things you want backed up are on the left. You can make more than one folder group.
The folder on the right is your external hdd for example.

First select a group or all of them. Run it, and it will compare the folder and depending on your options it will sync them.
Finally no more copying files one by one, doing everything very manually. This came out very handy since i have a lot of music and other media. So I can just hook up the ext. hdd press Run, and after a while it's all done.

I know this probably not the best of the best, but it's small and a very logical and easy way to sync things quick.

We’ve Passed the Carbon Tipping Point For Good

"I get that a lot of folks want to escape into whatever works for them in order to avoid this. I also know several people personally who say that since we are doomed anyway, they arent going to lift a finger to help the next generation even have a life on the planet...these are people I know who have children. Thats right. They simply dont care if their children have a world to grow up in. I knew one person who on Earth Day would do what the Far Right suggested: turn on all your lights and appliances out of defiance against the tree huggers.

We are only doomed when people dont do anything to stop what is happening. There are things we cannot change that Climate Change has wrought, but we CAN slow it down and even halt it if we globally get on board and do all we can to help keep all species alive on the planet.

No explanation required here. While difficult to estimate, extinction rates have accelerated to 1,000 times their rate before the existence of modern Homo sapiens. 10,000 species now become extinct every year. Due to climate change, one fourth of Earth’s species will in all probability vanish by 2050."

Well you will see, it is already predicted that when all fytoplankton in the sea will die and not be able to produce oxygen anymore, almost all marine animals will be extinct, and that will have a major effect to the other species.

Evil prevails where good men do nothing.

News and Events / Escape from Tarkov live stream
« on: April 03, 2016, 03:05:22 PM »
Dear friends!
Let us elaborate a little on what has happened to the stream and why it has turned out this way.
The main reason for stopping the Russian stream and postponing an English one was that the aspects of the game that have already been working were not showcased the way we originally intended, i.e. lacked the quality we initially aimed for. This led to the decision that was eventully took - Russian stream was stopped, English one cancelled.
That was, in part, caused by lack of time we dedicated to set up the streaming on Twitch and in part by the lack of testing of the Alpha build version we attempted to show the gameplay on.
We indulged in our desire to show you as many features and content as possible, and that was a mistake on our part, as all of the newest additions were not properly tested due to critical shortage of time - for instance, the game server could not handle its interactions too well, leading to 1-hour pause before and half an hour later.
However, we'd like to point out that this was just a test stream of the Alpha version, an it wouldn't be correct to judge the final quality of product based on it.
We are greatly disappointed by these course of events and would like to once again apologize to those who dedicated their time to watch us. On our part, we take it as our responsibility to conduct a new stream on the level both you and our game deserve, showing everything we planned to show properly. All the mistakes we've made up to now were learned from, and won't be repeated again.
Thank you for staying with us.
Respectfully yours,
Battlestate Games Team

General Discussion / Crate Digging
« on: March 15, 2016, 11:18:44 AM »
I've been crate digging a bit, and if you don't know what that means, it means when you are looking for vinyl ( in crates). Usually very cheap ones.

I saw this one, and thought it would be interesting/special.

"Yorkshire is not a tourist region in the accepted sense of the word.
We do not have tourists, we have guests - and Yorkshire people welcome them!
This record welcomes you in typical sounds from the bells of the Minister, to the water mill driven hammers of an ancient Sheffield forge, from the story told by Humber trawler skipper to the songs of Scarborough, the Dales and even a hymn composed by Anne Bronte.
This is a welcome to Yorkshire's broad acres - HARRY WHITAKER"

Side A
Side B

Since there is no known recording of this online, i will try to make one.
